西國苦堅攻

門檻初成空自賞

香江一夕偶君逢

煮酒論英雄 

For thirty years in the West,

Toiling to my best,

I finally created a threshold,

But only for myself to behold.

Until one lucky day, 

In Hong Kong, I dare say,

You and I met,

As if chance had set.

Over warm rice wine,

We assessed who would shine!
