(20) Farewell Sophia! Farewell Roy!

別了！

上週剛在加州話別了孫女素菲後，回到英國草中老廬，然後昨日在肯特大學參加了舊同事Roy Chisholm 教授的追悼會。會後不勝感嘆有感而作。

二〇一五年十一月七日於草坪老廬。

          葉落黃昏道別時

          風華往昔夢中詩

                      生離死別無聲涙

                      宇宙茫茫竟不知

Falling leaves,

Setting sun,

Goodbye,

Scenes in poetry, so much pain!

I dreamt, amid sadness,

Of time past.

Meetings never last,

And partings never to meet again.

Silent cries,

Why are there no replies

In the empty vastness?
